Mystery Hockey is a fully static website with no advertising. To understand how the site is used and improve it, we use:

• Simple Analytics: privacy-first page-view statistics without cookies or personal data
• Microsoft Clarity: session insights such as heatmaps and anonymized interaction recordings to help us improve usability. We also log anonymized game-interaction events (clue navigation, puzzle navigation, guess attempts) as Clarity custom events. These contain puzzle dates and counts only — never your guesses, answers, or contact details.

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) also processes basic request logs for security and performance purposes.

The only data the site stores is on your own device, in your browser:

• Your game progress, results, and statistics (saved in localStorage so you can resume puzzles)
• Your keyboard visibility preference

This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
